Description:

We seek a Video Production Officer (Incumbent) for a unique training and practicum opportunity. Incumbent will responsible for assisting with the end-to-end production and post production of artwork/video for BCPH’s audio and visual content, producing engaging, emotionally-driven visual/aural stories that speak to the organization’s programs and mission in a manner that resonates with a variety of audiences, across multimedia platforms. Production work will involve pre-production, shot lists, sound design, set management, video production, lighting, color grading, etc. Incumbent will be responsible for sharing video content to social media platforms, and ensuring that said platforms are optimized for professional video content promotion.

Requirements:

Incumbent must know major editing software, including Adobe Creative Suite (notably Premiere) and other mainstream editing software. Experience with post production animation and sound design an absolute plus. Applicants MUST have a BA or BS degree and/or work experience in applied graphic design, video editing, production, communications, marketing, or related field. Applicant must have demonstrated proficiency in video-editing software, namely Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere required, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator desired) and video production using digital cameras. Animation experience a massive plus.

This full-time position is virtual. 

Skills and Abilities Needed:

  • Proficiency in video-editing software, namely Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere required, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator desired) and video production using digital cameras
  • Write, edit, and produce concise video supported heavily by motion graphics and b-roll
  • Development timely recurring video and graphic elements on multiple platforms
  • Motion graphic design and video editing
  • Experience mixing and editing to create polished and engaging videos
  • Use existing original and stock footage to produce new videos
  • Assist with ADR, scoring, and sound effects to enhance the video when necessary
  • An effective communicator, both written and oral
  • A consistent and reliable team player who values attention to detail and is comfortable working with little supervision to meet deadlines
  • Desire to learn and develop new skills necessary for a career as an editor, designer, or media content producer
  • Be able to work remotely with consistent communication
