Lauryn Perpall, MPH is a passionate and dedicated Public Health professional. She graduated from Hampton University with a Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology and a minor in Leadership Studies. She furthered her education with a Master of Public Health degree in Public Health Practice and Policy from the University of Maryland, College Park. Her capstone projects focused on examining the health impacts of the World Water Crisis and Water Quality across the United States. Her interest in public health is multifaceted, including health equity and disparities, community engagement, environmental justice, cancer & chronic diseases, and implementation science. Lauryn has gained experience in scientific writing, poster presentation, grant evaluation/funding, and cohort study management, as a Fellow at the National Institutes of Health, National Cancer Institute.

Lauryn is an active member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. and the American Public Health Association. She is steadfast in her dedication to community service and advocacy, enhancing her development as a catalyst for positive change. She firmly believes in the importance of health equity to enhance population health outcomes. She is the founder of The Public Health Record, LLC, a social impact organization focusing on social media health education campaigns and community outreach via elementary school health kit donations, and summer survival kits for the homeless.
