Devin Madden is the Associate Director of Gender Equity in the Office of Gender Equity in Science and Medicine, also working in the Institute for Health Equity Research at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. In her professional role, they divide their time between workforce equity initiatives designed to improve gender equity and community-engaged health equity research initiatives. Madden has worked in public health for over a decade on community-centered initiatives ranging from improving active design in schools and facilitating healthier local food retail environments to building safe, supportive school spaces for LGBTQ youth and fostering access to youth-friendly sexual health clinic providers. She is currently pursuing their PhD in Education and Leadership at Pacific University where she is leveraging participatory narrative inquiry to understand sources and mediators of queer impostorism, and the impacts of this phenomenon, among bisexual+ femmes living in NYC.
