Monzur Morshed Patwary is a public health practitioner from Bangladesh with over 11 years of professional experience in organizations such as The Task Force for Global Health, CDC Foundation, and BRAC.

As a Senior Programme Manager at BRAC (the largest NGO in the Bangladesh), Monzur led several large-scale projects involving COVID-19 response, maternal and child health, and digitalization of training for community health workers. During the COVID-19 crisis, his initiatives led to the distribution of 3.5 million reusable masks, installation of more than 500 handwashing stations, identification of 8,000 suspected COVID-19 cases, creation of change agents in 151 schools, and awareness raising through 3,400 community religious leaders in the Dhaka and Cox’s Bazar.

In 2021, Monzur was named a transformational leader at BRAC in recognition of his contributions to pandemic response and fostering innovation in program operation.

Monzur represents Bangladesh on global platforms such as ParisWHO, Global Digital Health Forum, Global Leadership Forum and HPAIR Harvard Conference. His articles on public health issues have been published on BMC Health Services Research, BMJ Global Health, Devex, Perspectives on Global Health, and Southern Spaces.

Monzur graduated from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities and completed the Hubert H. Humphrey Fellowship at Emory University-Rollins School of Public Health. He is also a PMI Certified Project Manager.

Monzur aspires to continue working on addressing the current and emerging health challenges in his country.
