Calvin Harjono is a seasoned business professional committed to advancing health equity. His career is marked by a relentless focus on delivering efficient, high-quality, and accessible healthcare to underserved communities and people of color. With a rich and diverse background in healthcare, Calvin has held roles as an entrepreneur, consultant, and investor and has worked with organizations that include Fortune 500 companies, nonprofits, and start-ups.
Currently, Calvin is the Co-Founder and CEO of SideStreet, a venture aimed at elevating the role of Community Health Workers (CHWs) by facilitating sustainable job opportunities and addressing skills gaps in the field. Concurrently, he works as an independent consultant, recently lending his expertise to the launch of a pioneering pediatric mental health company.
Calvin earned his MPH in Health Management from the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health (HSPH). During his tenure at HSPH, he was a Summer Senior Associate at Strategy& within their Health Transformation group, where he played a pivotal role in reshaping the behavioral health strategy for Medicaid patients at a large regional payer. Additionally, he was a Venture Fellow at Rock Health and Healthcare Founder Fellow at Primary Venture Partners.
Before pursuing graduate studies, Calvin was a Senior Project Manager at Satellite Healthcare, a regional nonprofit dialysis provider. In the New Business Ventures and Enterprise Development Group, he designed and deployed novel care models and was instrumental in launching a groundbreaking joint venture with CVS Health. Prior to Satellite Healthcare, he was a Senior Business Analyst at Xelay Acumen, a boutique healthcare consulting firm founded by a former McKinsey consultant.
Beyond his professional endeavors, Calvin actively engages with his community. He served as a Board Member for the San Francisco YMCA and as a Community Lead at Sheltertech, a San Francisco nonprofit utilizing technology to combat homelessness.
