Over the years, Fizza has assumed progressive leadership positions, tackling complex healthcare challenges within Alberta. Notable contributions include spearheading responses to the Opioid Crisis as the program manager for the Prescription Drug Monitoring Program, implementing policy changes and leveraging pharmacist expertise to develop harm-reduction focused clinical guidelines. Fizza has also played a pivotal role in advancing anti-racism efforts, serving as a steering committee member for a Microaggressions in Healthcare training course tailored for physicians in leadership positions.
