Kenneth Jim Joseph Jimeno

Kenneth Jim Joseph Jimeno is a vice consul in Dubai, overseeing the Philippine Consulate’s economic, cultural, public diplomacy, community affairs, administrative, and protocol sections. He was previously an acting director at the Department of Foreign Affairs, where he supervised the assistance-to-national operations in the Asia-Pacific, covering 19 Philippine embassies and 11 consulates-general. In an ex-officio capacity, he chaired the Regulation, Information Management, and Monitoring Committee of the Philippine Migrant Health Network.

Before joining the diplomatic corps, Jim was a research fellow at the Department of Health and a neuroscience nurse at St. Luke’s Medical Center in Global City. His written works appeared in the Harvard Public Health Review, Routed Magazine, and Annals of Behavioral Medicine, among others. He is an IOM Migration Health and Development Research Initiative Member, a Pacific Forum Young Leader, a World Economic Forum Global Shaper, a YSEALI Academy Technology and Innovation Fellow, a THINC Fellow, and an Adenauer Young Leaders Program Fellow. He is also the regional director for the Middle East and North Africa at the Young Initiative on Foreign Affairs and International Relations (IFAIR).
