Dr. Patrick Corr

Assistant Professor, The George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences

Patrick Corr, EdD, MEd, AFAMEE is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Clinical Research and Leadership at The George Washington University (GW) School of Medicine and Health Sciences (SMHS), where he also serves as Program Director for Integrative Medicine and Research Associate for the GW Resiliency & Well-Being Center.

Dr. Corr believes that educators must play a key role in breaking down silos within the health professions to advance a more just and healthy future. In 2023, he co-founded a research laboratory to advance whole-person health through integrative, evidence-based strategies that challenge siloed approaches to healthcare and health education. As a Co-Investigator on multiple funded projects, Dr. Corr has lead community-based participatory research designed to bridge the gap between knowledge and action.

His academic leadership has been recognized both nationally and globally. He received the GW Medicine Pillar of Excellence Award, was named a Visiting Scholar at the Massachusetts General Hospital Institute of Health Professions, and is an Associate Fellow with AMEE, the International Association for Health Professions Educators. He is also a member of the GW SMHS Academy of Education Scholars.

Dr. Corr is deeply committed to uplifting the next generation of public health professionals. He has mentored dozens of students across disciplines, serving as faculty advisor, dissertation chair, and practicum preceptor, to help students learn how to transform healthcare systems through scholarship and practice.

Originally from Weymouth, MA, Dr. Corr now lives in Washington, DC, where he completed his Doctor of Education at the George Washington University’s Graduate School of Education and Human Development. He earned his Master of Education at Salem State University, and his Bachelor of Arts at Pace University. He is currently completing his Master of Public Health at the George Washington University’s Milken Institute School of Public Health.
