Don’t miss the Boston Congress of Public Health Public Health Leadership Summer Institute and Medical Academy this Jul-Aug 2023. Participants will uncover hidden passions through this transformational educational experience exploring the nexus of public health, clinical medicine, and social justice. Similar to AI and machine learning, health has been growing as a very popular and critical field. Whether you’re undecided about your future college major, have a budding interest in medicine or career in healthcare, or even oriented toward business and law – the BCPH Public Health Summer Institute will guide you on your career path.
There are four sessions in three cities, scheduled as follows:

Institutes feature 20+ courses (7 courses a day) leveraging unique learning modalities, including documentary film exploration, health simulations, case studies, and tours of top-ranked universities, including Harvard, MIT, Longwood Medical, Georgetown, and UCLA.
Topics include: social and political determinants of health; health policy and health management; maternal and child health; refugee and immigrant health; LGBTQ+ health; public health entrepreneurship and public health leadership; racial justice; gender equity; and more!
Feed your intellect WITHOUT the pressure of letter grades. You will be intellectually engaged by leading public health and social justice scholars as you immerse yourself in public health and health equity, without quizzes or tests.
All in-person participants will also receive a free BCPH annual membership, and successful completion of the Summer Institute will allow you to earn Certificates of Achievement in Public Health and Academic Journalism!
Students also can participate in the Medical Academy, which occurs the day before the start of each Institute and features 6 courses on clinical medicine trends and ethical topics. Participants will have a significant head-start on other pre-medical students! It is also great preparation for the MMI, which is the special interview utilized by many medical schools as a means of admissions.
