Yasmin Abdrabo is a fourth-year undergraduate Health Science major at California State University, Long Beach (CSULB), with a certification in Public Health Informatics and Technology. She is passionate about advancing health equity by translating public health data into actionable insights that highlight underrepresented populations and guide evidence-based interventions. She has hands-on experience with RStudio and GIS, analyzing and visualizing public health data, and is eager to apply her skills to contribute to data-informed public health efforts at BCPH. In her most recent role as a Supplemental Instruction Leader at CSULB, Yasmin led supplemental class sessions outside of primary course lectures. She designed instructional materials and facilitated interactive presentations to engage students and enhance their understanding of course content. Outside of academics, Yasmin volunteers as a camp counselor for a children’s summer camp that supports children and their families affected by cancer, helping to lead activities and mentor campers. When she is not volunteering, she enjoys exploring new cafes and spending quality time with family and friends.
