Brenice Duroseau

Brenice Duroseau, MSN, FNP-C, RNC-OB, AAHIVS, a Haitian-American board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP), boasts an impressive career spanning well over a decade in healthcare. She specializes in infectious diseases, such as HIV/AIDS and STIs, and has a strong background in addiction medicine and women’s reproductive health. Brenice played a pivotal role in establishing a Ryan White clinic site in Stamford, CT, where she also served as the primary healthcare provider for underinsured and low-income individuals living with HIV. Her dedication and patient-centered approach not only improved health outcomes but also led to her appointment as the chairperson for ending the HIV epidemic in lower Fairfield County. In this role, she championed community-centered approaches to enhance HIV prevention, awareness, and treatment engagement. 
 
Currently pursuing a PhD at Johns Hopkins University School of Nursing, Brenice’s research is dedicated to developing innovative and culturally responsive sexual reproductive health interventions. Her dissertation work focuses on addressing the sexual reproductive health needs of Black women, particularly STI/HIV prevention, by exploring the intersection of social, political, and structural determinants of sexual reproductive health. 

As a future clinician-scientist and entrepreneur, Brenice is dedicated to creating innovative solutions by leveraging technologies to improve sexual reproductive healthcare delivery, patient-provider relationships, and patient education. Her vision involves developing, enhancing, and integrating digital health solutions, including patient-controlled technologies, telehealth platforms, and mobile health applications, to provide accessible, effective, and tailored care for diverse populations.
 
Through her work, Brenice aims to pioneer advancements that bridge healthcare gaps, fostering a just, equitable, and empowering environment for sexual and reproductive health.
