DR. MARCOS BRIANO ("Dr. B")

Dr. Marcos Briano “DrB” (he/him/el), is an Associate Professor of USC’s Physical Education & Mind Body Health (PEMBH), where he dedicates his efforts to students’ wellbeing through physical fitness, mental wellness, and the connection of mind body health. He also teaches courses on interrogating systems of inequality and multicultural & group counseling with the Rossier School of Education Marriage and Family Therapy program. His clinical experiences span from K-12 schools and universities to community centers to an acute psychiatric hospital across diverse, multicultural settings. His research/academic interests include advocacy for LGBTQ+ & Ally communities, suicide intervention training, intersectionality, social justice, and application of professional ethics with an emphasis on Spanish-speaking & BIPOC communities.
