Dr. Temitope Kayode

Dr. Temitope Kayode has over 15 years of experience as a medical doctor and public health professional. She is currently studying for a doctoral degree (DrPH Health Policy and Management) at New York Medical College (NYMC).

She holds a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree from the University of Wolverhampton, UK, and two diplomas – a diploma in Sexual and Reproductive Health (DRH) and a diploma in Humanitarian Assistance (DHA) from Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine (LSTM), U.K.

She has worked on numerous public health programs funded by donors including UKAID, USAID, World Bank, and the Global Fund across different intervention areas. Her expertise and research focus are in health services research, financing, health policy, health disparities, health equity, maternal and child health, infectious diseases, and vulnerable populations.

Tope has led the development of health policies, operational budgets, budgets, and other strategic documents for the health sector in Nigeria. She is a Fellow, Women innovators and Leadership Development (WILD) network and a member of the Nigerian Medical Association (NMA) and the American Public Health Association (APHA). Tope is a member of Letters against Isolation (LAI) where she sends inspirational letters to seniors across the US to help them cope with their mental and physical health.
