Harneet K. Cheema

Harvard Medical School Research Scholar

Harneet K. Cheema is an incoming medical student and a Harvard Medical School Research Scholar whose work bridges clinical research, public health, and community engagement. She completed her undergraduate studies at Harvard University and the University of Ottawa, where she obtained an Honours Bachelor of Health Science. She is the Founder and Director of the International Health Literacy Program, an initiative implemented in three countries and expanding globally to create sustainable and scalable models of health education in underserved communities. Her research spans neurosurgery, psychiatry, and public health, with multiple first-author publications and presentations at international conferences. She has been recognized with multiple awards for her leadership in health equity and public health innovation. Harneet is passionate about advancing health equity through innovation in both research and community-driven initiatives and aspires to continue this mission as a physician serving underserved populations worldwide.
