The Boston Congress of HPHR Journal is now accepting applications for its new Health Innovators to Watch Awards.

The awards are meant to honor the work of persons from disciplines who have ventures, social engagement, through the lens of social justice and health equity, to improve health and well-being, particularly underserved populations.

 

SELECTION PROCESS 

A selection committee will be appointed by the BCPH and the HPHR Journal to assess and evaluate all nominees for their demonstrated leadership, innovation, commitment and contributions within their organizations, communities, and the public health field. Successful nominees will demonstrate a track record of outstanding performance and leadership skills to advance and advocate for current public health issues. Only 10 individuals will be selected as awardees for spring 2023.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

  • Nominees must be employed in or have a connection to the public health sector. They should be established or rising professional leaders with a strong record of innovation and outstanding performance in issues related to public health and/or social justice.
  • Multiple nominees from the same organization can be submitted.
  • We take both self-nomination as well as nominations from others.
  • Nominees join BCPH for their application to be considered. Membership at the time of application is not required. However, only members can win the award.
  • Non-members may sign up for $50.00 (student) and $100.00 (non-student).

  • You will have your biography and picture on the official BCPH website
  • Opportunities to network with other award winners and the wider BCPH network 
  • Professional development opportunities including access to policy trainings, being part of the production team of television series, and participating in a Fellowship program through the HPHR Journal.

HOW TO APPLY

Nominees may be nominated by other persons, such as colleagues, mentors, and supervisors. Self-nominations also are accepted.
