Dr. Krystal Redman, DrPH, MHA

Adjunct Professor, Emory School of Public Health

Dr. Krystal Redman (they/she) is a public health leader, executive, author, and speaker advancing sexual and reproductive justice and health equity. They bring nearly 20 years of experience in direct care, nonprofit and healthcare leadership, and designing equity-centered initiatives. At the core of their work is organizing against racial injustice and systemic oppression—rooted in anti-Blackness, colonialism, white supremacy, and capitalism—and addressing their impact on health outcomes for BIPOC communities. Prior to serving as Executive Director of SPARK Reproductive Justice NOW!, Dr. Redman was Senior Project Director and Family Planning Director at the Georgia Department of Public Health. They have also held Chief leadership roles for organizations serving under-resourced youth and women, as well as Clinical Director for a California-based system of 24 addiction treatment programs. Dr. Redman is an Adjunct Professor at Emory School of Public Health. They are the creator and host of OurPanel TV, a health talk show led by Black women doctors. They also founded the Strategy. Equity. Justice. Health (SEJH) Institute and Public Health Strategy Think Tank. Dr. Redman holds a B.S. in Sociology from the University of California, Riverside, an M.H.A. from the University of Southern California, and a DrPH from Loma Linda University. Their work continues to center justice, equity, and community-led transformation.
