BOSTON CONGRESS OF PUBLIC HEALTH

The Boston Congress of Public Health Inc. (BCPH) was officially formed on August 4, 2021 as a 501(c) 3 entity by Dr. Candice Carpenter and Dr. Circe Gray Le Compte. The mission and vision of the organization are as follows:

Mission: Democratize public health through the lens of social justice

Vision: Transcending the traditional boundaries of academia and medicine, The Boston Congress of Public Health (BCPH) supports emerging and established thought leaders, researchers, and advocates committed to social justice and health equity, and democratizes access to evidence-based public health thought.

BCPH achieves its mission and vision through three capacities or pillars of activities:

Knowledge Translation

Building and promoting translational knowledge through multiple platforms: blogs, vlogs, podcasts, TV series, and academic journals among others.

Policy/Advocacy

Devising a forum for policy/recommendation/guideline
creation and dissemination.

Education

Developing intersectional social justice tools and highlighting underrepresented voices via fellowships and technical training.
